These Bluetooth modules do not work to play music. They were only designed for telephony.
This module has the same technology as the European HFP module, that was sold at the dealership for € 350, but it has the Mclaren SLR design.
The connector may be under an old telephone cradle. Here we show you how to remove it.

There are two types of Mclaren SLR design bluetooth modules for Mercedes:
– With HFP profile (ours).
The bluetooth with HFP profile is the only one that works with all mobiles and synchronizes the agenda.
– With SAP V2 profile.
They ONLY work with mobiles that have an option called: REMOTE ACCESS SIM within their Bluetooth configuration, with other mobiles it DOES NOT WORK.
Ours (right of the photograph) does not have to insert a SIM card, so differentiating them is very simple.
In this video we explain how to connect an American HFP Bluetooth module (B6 787 5878) with your Mercedes and an iPhone 6S. (It also works with the latest models of iPhone or other smartphones).
1º Open the armrest.
2º Remove the old mobile craddle by pressing the button on the left and pulling it back.
3º Now you will see the universal connector for all Mercedes.
4º In that connector is where we place the module.
5º We already have our bluetooth ready to link your mobile or Smartphone.
